The Director of Finance is an integral part of the 4D structure within the hotel, providing support and technical expertise to other members of the team. This role is responsible for all accounting and financial requirements for the hotel in an environment of tight control. He / she will provide financial support, advice and expertise to the General Manager and hotel team, with the aim of maximizing value, developing the quality of the Finance function within the hotel. What will I be doing? As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Financial Accounting & Control: Best practice financial accounting processes in a robust control environment • Overall management of the accounting records and financial reports of the hotel ensuring compliance with company, owner, statutory and fiscal requirements, and timetables. • Where applicable the above must include the accounts for Hilton International’s branch or subsidiary. • Ensure that the balance sheet is a fair reflection of the assets and liabilities of the hotel. The balance sheet must be regularly reviewed, and reconciliations performed of all accounts. • Ensure compliance with the Management agreement with Hilton International, and any Owner / Lease agreement. • Maintain a focused system of internal controls, which will provide an effective and efficient control over the hotel assets, liabilities, revenue and costs, ensuring compliance with company policy. • Maintain control over the hotel’s assets, liabilities, income and expenditure on behalf of both the Operator and Owner and provide management, leadership and accountability for the financial performance of the hotel. • Ensure legal and tax compliance and that adequate insurance cover is maintained managing the pension scheme, where applicable, ensuring that adequate accounting, actuarial and legal controls are in place. • Ensure valid permits and licenses have been obtained for such matters as importation, currency transfers and hotel operations (bars, clubs, casinos etc.). • Take responsibility for the safekeeping and updating of all leases and contracts, which may affect the financial status of the hotel. • Liaise and co-operate with both Internal and External Audit, ensuring that an effective program of in-hotel audit is in place and that corrective action is promptly taken where required. • Give particular emphasis to ensuring that all revenue is captured, making use of a monthly control checklist and conduct interim self-audits as required. • Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures, with continuous review and development with the aim of maximizing both impact and efficiency. Management Reporting: Focused, innovative and balanced reporting that stimulates management action. • Develop high quality management information and performance measurement that is timely and accurate. Reporting should be thought provoking and action oriented. • Implement reporting that incorporates benchmarking, identification and measurement of key performance indicators, and use of the balanced scorecard. Reporting should not only look to historical performance within the hotel, but also outward and forward. • Ensure corporate reporting is timely and accurate, internally consistent and that, inter alia, Datalink report, Pro-plant system, management reports, trends of operation reports, incremental conversion reports, profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports reconcile to the trial balance. Maintain proof of such reconciliations which are conducted each month. Business Support: Provision of the highest standards of financial and commercial support to the Business. • Support and advice on financial and commercial matters to the General Manager and to the hotel team, including the interpretation of financial data. • Review management information for the hotel and make proposals for the General Manager for value added initiatives. Where appropriate, play the “Devil’s Advocate” to challenge practices and proposals. • Provide financial and commercial skills to support business development initiatives, major pricing decisions and other commercial decision-making. Information Technology & Systems: Optimize the use of I.T. within the finance department to improve efficiency and information. • With Project Managers, support the implementation of financial systems in the hotel. • With the ISM ensure proper use and maintenance of financial systems, including adequate security and back up procedures. • Act as the guardian of the integrity of data flowing into the accounting system, ensuring that the control process is sound in systems that interface directly or indirectly with the accounting system. • Work with colleagues to ensure that errors are corrected at source and processes amended as required to eliminate rather than correct errors. • Continually develop the usage of financial systems in order to ensure highest levels of management reporting, processing and staffing efficiency and thereby return on investment.     The Role 岗位职责: 1. Patina Essentialist represents one of the signature roles and defining highlights of the Patina brand. This position integrates multiple core functions of the traditional Front Office, including guest check-in and check-out, transportation coordination, dining and activity reservations, guest experience curation, and personalized assistant services. With versatility, professionalism, and genuine passion, each Patina Host delivers a bespoke and memorable experience for every guest. 柏典知客是柏典品牌的核心成员与品牌亮点。该职位融合了传统前厅部的多项关键职能,涵盖宾客入住与退房手续、店内外交通安排、餐饮及活动预订协助、宾客体验管理以及私人助理服务等。柏典知客以全能型的专业能力与真诚热情,为每一位宾客打造独一无二、个性化的入住体验。 2. Prior to the guest’s arrival, establish proactive and courteous communication via phone or email to confirm arrival details, reservation information, and personal preferences. All relevant data should be accurately entered into the property management system in advance, allowing the hotel to arrange suitable room types, dining reservations, and experiential activities that align with the guest’s preferences — ensuring a seamless and personalized stay experience. 在宾客抵达前,通过电话或电子邮件与宾客进行礼貌且高效的沟通,主动确认其入住信息、抵达时间及个人偏好。所有相关信息需提前录入至系统中,以便酒店能够根据宾客的偏好,预先安排合适的房型、餐饮预订及活动体验,确保入住体验的个性化与无缝衔接。 3. For guests celebrating special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries, the Essentialist team should proactively coordinate with the Housekeeping and other relevant departments to arrange special room decorations, personalized amenities, and greeting cards, demonstrating the hotel’s thoughtful attention to detail and genuine care. 如遇宾客生日、周年纪念日等特殊场合,知客团队应主动与客房部及相关部门沟通,协调进行相应的房间布置、个性化装饰及贺卡准备,以传递酒店的细致关怀与品牌温度。 4. Before the guest’s arrival, ensure that the assigned room and all preferences are properly arranged and documented in the system, reflecting the hotel’s commitment to precision, consistency, and bespoke service in every stay. 在宾客抵达前,应确保房间及所有宾客偏好均已落实,并在系统中准确记录,以保证每一次入住都体现出酒店对细节的精准掌控与真诚服务。 5. Greet every guest with grace and professionalism, delivering an efficient and seamless check-in experience. Ensure all guest details are accurately entered into the system, verify identification, and allocate the most suitable room according to guest preferences. Proactively provide information about hotel facilities, signature activities, and the local area. 以优雅、专业的方式迎接每位宾客,提供高效、准确的入住体验。确保宾客信息完整、准确地录入系统,核实身份证件并为其安排最合适的房型。主动了解宾客需求,向宾客介绍酒店设施、特色活动及周边文化信息。 6. Deliver a smooth and accurate check-out process, ensuring transparency and precision in billing. Handle all guest payments, verify methods of payment, and ensure all transactions comply with hotel financial standards and procedures. 为宾客提供快速、无缝的退房体验,确保账单清晰、准确。处理账务、收款及支付方式确认,确保所有交易符合酒店标准与财务流程。 7. Assist the Essentialist Manager in overseeing daily operations of the team, ensuring that all guest interactions — including arrivals, departures, and in-house services — meet Patina brand standards and Forbes Five-Star requirements. Provide on-site support to staff and resolve operational issues promptly. 协助知客经理和前厅部经理监督知客团队的日常运营,确保所有宾客接待、入住与离店流程符合柏典品牌标准及福布斯五星服务要求。为团队提供现场支持,及时解决操作问题并确保服务流程高效、顺畅。 8. Conduct on-the-job training and mentoring for new Essentialists, ensuring they master system operations, brand storytelling, cultural presentation, and local experience recommendations. Perform periodic quality checks and provide feedback to uplift team professionalism. 负责新知客团队成员的在岗培训与指导,确保其掌握酒店系统操作、品牌故事、文化讲解及本地体验推荐技巧。定期进行服务质量抽查与反馈,协助经理提升团队整体专业水平 9. Assist the manager in preparing staff rosters, compiling daily and weekly reports, summarizing guest feedback, and maintaining accurate system data to support service improvement initiatives. 协助经理进行团队排班、日报/周报撰写、宾客反馈汇总及系统信息维护,确保运营数据准确并为后续改进提供依据。 Talent Profile 能力&技能需求: Acquire working experience in hotel/resort(preferably luxury brands). 拥有酒店工作经验(特别是奢华品牌的酒店)。 Have professional training in hospitality industry. 接受过酒店专业的培训。 Able to communicate in Mandarin or English fluently. 能够流畅的使用普通话或英语进行对话。 Having good communication skills. 良好的沟通能力。 Able to operate basic computer skills. 正确应用基本电脑系统。 Minimum 2 years Front Office experience for international luxury brands or affiliated five-star hotels. 拥有至少2年及以上国际奢华品牌或联号五星级酒店前厅部工作经验。
