Accounts Director - Remote About the role: Accounts Director is responsible for business generation as it relates to prospecting and securing individual corporate accounts on behalf of the hotel in accordance with the goals and strategies outlined in the annual Marketing Plan and in concert with WSO effort. Position is also responsible for soliciting and securing business from key travel industry sources. CTISMs are accountable for ensuring quotas and goals are met and to ensure that direct sales activities are focused on generating the highest possible RevPar for the overall hotel’s success.   This position requires a high degree on independent judgement and discretion on decision making. This position is based in Shanghai.  What you will do: Business Development and Prospecting: Solicit, confirm and service travel agent, wholesale, negotiate and transient accounts including negotiating rates and confirming contracts that ensure targeted budget achievement. Identify and create target accounts or agencies that will generate business on behalf of hotel but not conflict with WSO efforts. Utilize arrival reports, Hotelligence, Opera business intelligence, Book of Lists, Hoover’s Lists, etc, to solicit and secure business on behalf of hotel. Use company wide programs, sales developments, prospecting projects, WSO customer events and reporting for individual business development. Follow up on all business inquiries and leads and qualify business to generate room nights and impact RevPar performance.  Impact corporate sales production to ensure maximum account penetration. Create and execute account plans for top 20 accounts and make recommendations re: pricing, yield management, room night production, sales activities, etc.  Achieve monthly and annual revenue and direct sales goals including outside sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, and entertainment as outlined.   Create a targeted RFP hit list to communicate to WSOCTISMs in advance of RFP season for multi-user account development. Manage annual RFP process for each individual targeted account including account and market intelligence and pricing recommendations to maximize hotel profitability and secure travel program inclusion.  Uncover potential P2Pleads on behalf of sister properties and the company.  What you bring: Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the required language. Good personal & professional references. Working computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Delphi, Internet and Opera.  College Degree – 4 years or equivalent experience. About the role: The Channel Management –Executive assist Director of Revenue to develop new policy systems/procedures,advises Director of Revenue/Commercial Director on improvements; assists in inventory/OTArate control, manages major OTA operations (daily info checks, dataanalysis/adjustments). Develop manpower budget and ensure manpower is under control within the manning established. 3. Maintain harmonious employee relations and an environment conductive to top performance. 4. Ensure proper administration of the Performance Management System in all departments and achieve a performance driven team. 5. Identify and design appropriate training and development initiatives to ensure a learning culture is developed within the hotel. 6. Be responsible for recruitment of all levels of positions. 7. Ensure career development policies and implements career paths for colleagues. 8. Implement, communicate and clarify any Human Resources related policies and rules and propose modifications to remain current with needs and trends. 9. Ensure all Learning & Development programs and initiatives are to maximize customer satisfaction, employee motivation and organizational profitability. Qualifications: 1. Luxury Hospitality segment experience will be preferred. 2. 2+ years as Director of Human Resources at international hotels. 3. Ability to understand a variety of industrial issues and develop strategic business plans. 4. Tertiary qualifications, or other collegiate-level degree, in Human Resources or related field, required. 5. Problem solving ability on both operational and/or strategic areas. 6. Strong interpersonal skills & leadership. 7. Fluent written & spoken English.
