This role will be responsible for providing HR services to all Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) staff in China, including all GSOs in China, the Shanghai Regional Office. Ensure smooth operation of the Shanghai Regional Office.
Major responsibilities
Human Resources Services (HRS)
§ Assist the VP of Human Resources Operations, China to develop staffing/productivity model for various brands and continuously updating them as needed, assist in implementing and managing the projects to improve workforce cost efficiency in the China hotels.
§ Assist to communicate and roll out China EIP.
§ Assist to conduct HR related market surveys if necessary.
§ Collect and consolidate monthly HR reports from hotel properties and offer HR dashboard support to hotels
§ Assist to pre-opening hotel properties in HR function, including but not limited to providing guidance, enquiry and consultation.
§ Assist property HRD operation,not limited to the enquiry and consultation
§ Responsible for Lanham Career wechat operation and increase the number of followers.
§ Organize Colleague Relations activities, coordinate on CONNECT(community service) activities.
§ Organize and follow up with colleagues to conduct MCS and make action plan.
§ Ensure all the policies and procedures are in line with current Langham Hospitality Group’s corporate guidelines and local and government legislation
§ Maintain and update of HR manual, policy and procedures and job descriptions
§ Ensure Annual Performance Review are conducted timely by all LHG China colleagues
§ Manage colleagues personal files for all LHG China colleagues systematically and timely.
§ Upload employee profile to HCM system and keep necessary information updated continuously. Ensure the accuracy of uploaded or entered data.
§ Investigate colleague disciplinary cases and conduct disciplinary meetings (general staff level) with concerned colleagues and department heads.
§ Conduct exit interview for managerial level and below
§ Handle and investigate all work injury cases and liaise with related department head and government department
§ Attend any legal labour cases
§ Maintain good relationship and connection with government officials and external consultants such as labour bureau, district health control centre,health and education committee board, company lawyer, local tourism schools and universities, etc
Recruitment
§ Responsible for recruiting staff of middle management level or below.
§ Assist Human Resources Services (HRS) team of LHG in Hong Kong in searching and reviewing resumes of Manager or above positions.
§ Assist to search potential and suitable candidates of GM and HRD for new hotels opening as designated.
§ Establish a talent pool of potential candidates with resumes and contacts for future use.
§ Assist to conduct background check or reference check for candidates. Assist to Candidate Experience Survey and conduct data consolidation or analysis if necessary.
§ Conduct exit interview for managerial level and below.
§ Responsible for visa application for expatriates.
Compensation & Benefit (C&B)
§ Assist in docking with commercial medical insurance companies, and assist in the annual renewal process of commercial medical insurance. To provide relevant consulting services to colleagues if necessary.
§ Assist in coordination with the HR Service Agent company for colleagues salary, social security fund, housing fund as well as individual income tax related issues. Provide related HR enquiry service to colleagues if necessary.
§ Support corporate C&B team on payroll calculation and related policies updates as needed, support PRC hotels annual salary review and annual bonus proposal.
§ Leave control &administration – such as supervise and urge all colleagues to clear their leaves on time, sick leave applications are supported by valid sick leave certificate, etc.。
§ Assist in labor cost analysis and manning analysis of the hotels in China region if necessary.
§ Conduct HR related surveys such as salary and benefits competitor surveys.
Learning & Development (L&D)
§ Conduct Orientation Program, prepare Familiarization Program and Welcome kit for new hired.
§ Conduct intranet system briefing for related colleagues.
§ Responsible for collaborating with the corporate L&D team to ensure all training programs from the headquarters are effectively implemented and remain consistent with the headquarters.
§ Coordinate with corporate office L&D team to ensure all learning projects implementation alignment with corporate requirement Hotel HR and corporate office to organize related training for colleagues such as Hotel Tour, Training, etc.
Others
§ Perform any duties as assigned by the management deemed necessary.
§ Assist in HR related reimbursement process follow-up and processing, and ensure data accuracy.
