Responsibilities
- Is responsible for the smooth delivery of Practical Arts course components of each majors at Hainan Lausanne Tourism University(HLTU). Ensures coherence and quality of program. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect different majors.
- Manages the Practical Arts Coordinator, Practical Arts faculty members and all the administrative aspects of the various activities (e.g. Grades, Absences, Class rep. meetings, etc.). Works closely with the Academic Program Director.
- Determines HR needs (faculty), directs the recruitment of new Practical Arts faculty and staff for the majors and oversees resources.
- Maintains national and international academic standards that are coherent with the accreditation and the institution’s objectives.
- Manages the relationship with the external suppliers where relevant.
- Capable of resolving issues requiring coordination with other department and different stakeholders.
- Works closely with other departments in HLTU.
Qualifications
- Master or equivalent. Had held the title of senior lecturer for at least 3 years.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to set priorities, analyze information and data, and to think systematically from both a detailed and strategic perspective. Strong capabilities in teamwork and collaboration with faculty, administrators, operational teams in the various hotel and restaurant sectors . Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Higher education-level of teaching in the area(s) of expertise. A record of current and past scholarly professional activities in the practical arts of hospitality. Successful managerial and administrative experience that reflects the ability to implement policies and decisions.
