What you will do: • Ensure all local and corporate policies, rules, internal controls and procedures and safeguards are in place, as they relate to House Banks. • Retrieve deposit envelopes from the drop safe for processing, accompanied by a Security Officer or the Director of Finance's designate. • Audit cashiers’ daily deposits and prepare the daily hotel deposit. • Count, balance, organize and monitor own Bank and safe. • Process foreign currencies in accordance to local policy. • Prepare and distribute Cashiers’ due backs. • Prepare the Daily Cash Report. • Issue Cashier Banks and assign safety deposit boxes for safekeeping of the Banks. • Prepare and maintain a log on all issued House Banks. • Make petty cash disbursements according to established guidelines. • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance. • Maintain an accurate, orderly and up-to-date file for all outstanding Bank contracts. • File documents and reports. • Conduct House Bank audits on a regular basis, according to established guidelines. • Report all cash discrepancies to the Assistant Director of Finance immediately. • Solve any deposit discrepancies directly with the bank, while keeping the Assistant Director of Finance aware of the status of said discrepancies. • Assist in cashier training and be available as needed to support cashiers in solving problems in cash handling procedures. • Assist in other areas of the accounting office as needed. What you bring: • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience is required. • One to two years previous experience in same position. • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. • Mandarin Speaking and Work authorization in China is a must.
